Subliminal Mapping
Microscopic cell structures, skin, protective corolla (flora), underground and underwater worlds, and organic matter are the loose starting points for these works in oil and wax. With a focus on surface and texture, the paintings were built up slowly, with various degrees of finish allowing the process of painting to reveal itself in the finished works.
